a deception that elevates is dearer than a host of low truths
And you drink a little too much and you try a little too hard and you go home and you say
“that was fine ”
and your life is long line of fine
I️ was made aware shortly after arriving to philadelphia that I️ would be in close proximity to the only woman I️ ever loved.
I️ hid how much that stirred me. Our futures were too uncertain and our time limited and our relationship cracked under that weight.
Everything is different now. I could have accepted it if she wasn’t within arms reach. She’s closer than ever before wrapped in another’s arms.
I️ can’t help but feel that we are soulmates and though it may not be today or tomorrow, I️ hope for a day when I️ can hold her closely.
